Officially – or at least calendar-wise – there is still a week’s time until we can call it summer. But the weather is doing a pretty nice impression! OK, a little cool this morning when I walked the family flatcoat – but already by the time I drove to work, the temperature had shot up by 7° and I did my driving under a clear, blue sky.
By the way, the photo above is from North of Copenhagen forest park Dyrehaven (The Deer Park) where we had a lovely long walk yesterday. Beautiful, lots of deer to admire (and drool about cooking at home…) and also the hawthorn in bloom which was one of the reasons of going.
It may just be the weather’s positive influence – but this morning’s quite … substantial, I think is a good word … rock music mix was not caused by needing to wake up or blow away the cobwebs. It sort of just happened.
One thing it was good for, though, was alleviating blood pressure when an idiot in a S-class Mercedes (I’ve written before about BMW idiots – maybe it’s a general expensive car thing?) overtook me on the motorway, cut in front of me and blasted away, accelerating madly so that he could overtake someone else on the inside (note: not legal in Denmark) and barely cut out in front of him and then having to slam the brakes not to run into the next cars in front of him. All in a reduced-speed constraction zone, awash with workers to the left, in the area between the two motorway directions. Moron!
