New Year Music – a list at the end of 2013

Picture: Happy New Year, world (The Big Picture)

Neither yesterday, Monday, nor today involved any kind of motorway driving on my behalf – even though, technically, we did drive yesterday to a family celebration, a car full of people is more for conversation than for loud music.

But as today is the last day of the year I did after all want to sit down and publish a music list – if not for anything else then to be able to say thank you to readers and followers and friends across the world.

The list is maybe made at some kind of opposite end of a spectrum from the motorway driving ones – this set of music accompanied something as housebound as ironing. A nice batch of shirts to make it a little easier to get started on the new work year on Thursday and the crisp, white Calvin Klein shirt is done, too, hanging in the bathroom in quiet anticipation for this evening’s local New Year party. To which, to make the circle of music relations complete, I am a purveyor of music and have delivered a list of some 150 tracks of pure party 🙂

So, with the best of wishes for a good 2014 for all of you out there –

Do I Wanna Know? – Arctic Monkeys
Paris (Ooh La La) – Grace Potter & The Nocturnals
Moon Tune – Bob James & David Sanborn
Dreamer’s Ball – Queen
Upstream – k.d. lang
Blir det sådan? – Jomfru Ane Band

You’re The Inspiration – Chicago

Don’t Leave Me Now – Pink Floyd
Trouble Don’t Last – Buddy Guy
Blinded By The Light – Manfred Mann’s Earth Band
